We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and driven Outside Sales Representative to generate leads and drive sales. The Outside Sales Representative’s responsibilities include regularly visiting distributors, making joint end-user calls with distributors, submitting regular sales reports to management, informing potential and existing customers of product features and benefits, and resolving customer complaints. You should also be able to create as well as present persuasive sales proposals to customers to encourage sales and repeat business.
To be successful as an Outside Sales Representative you should be persuasive and have excellent negotiation skills. Ultimately, an exceptional Outside Sales Representative should be able to demonstrate effective communication and customer service skills to continually meet or exceed sales targets.
Candidates work as ambassadors and are responsible for establishing and maintaining good relationships with customers based on their assigned territory. They must build trust and act as support for prospects, ensuring they lead to potential future sales.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers
Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with customers daily
Continually meet or exceed sales targets with new and existing customers
Build and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers
Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts
Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally
Sell the company’s products or services to customers within your given territory
Monitor the company’s industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer's specific needs
Work closely with marketing department to help build the brand
Proven outside sales experience
Strong interpersonal and consultative sales skills
Willing to work independently
Always team focused
Computer proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
75% travel overnight
